Education:

  • Associates degree (ADN) in nursing required.

Experience:

  • A minimum of two (2) years direct clinical nursing work experience in a Practice setting required.
  • Urology experience preferred.
  • Chemo experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Carolina in good standing required.

Special Skills:

  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with nursing colleagues, physicians, department heads, and member of executive leadership required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Explorer and PowerPoint required.
  • Exemplary core customer service skills strongly required.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.

Physical Requirements:

Scribe/Medical Assistant

The medical scribe is responsible for transcribing accurately the patient’s encounter with the physician.

Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

    • Accompany physician into the exam room in order to transcribe accurately the physician’s encounter with the patient and others present.
    • Transcribe patient orders including laboratory tests, radiology tests, medication, etc.
    • Locate in the computer past medical records including laboratory, radiology and other test results.
    • Document the physical, assessment/plan, MDM (Medical Decision Making) procedures, final diagnoses/symptoms and discharge instructions.
    • Support the work flow with the clinical.
    • Document when consultants were called and returned the call.
    • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
    • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience

Atlantic Urology Clinics is searching for a full time scheduler for busy call center. This position schedules patients for 25 providers in multiple locations. Must have prior scheduling experience in an office or hospital setting and familiar with high call volumes. Experienced applicants only.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Schedule and co-ordinate surgery procedures between patient, physician and hospitals
  • Extensive contact with Physicians, Patients, Hospitals and Insurance companies
  • Communicating to patients’ any and all pre-operative workup and testing
  • Obtain all authorizations for surgeries and procedures
  • Maintain contact between both offices for the purpose of coordinating surgery assists if necessary
  • Maintain Surgery Schedule in Book and in Computer so Physicians can access their surgery schedules
  • Assist in any and all front office duties, i.e. filing charts, answering phones, etc. as time permits
  • Maintain an active hospital patient treatment list that must be updated daily

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school graduate or equivalent

  • Superior Telephone, computer, and typing skills
  • Medical system experience & MS Office experience preferred

Lab Technician - LIttle River

PURPOSE:
The Lab Technician at Atlantic Urology Clinics assists in processing of lab specimens and support of the lab personnel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage all incoming phone calls and transfer to the appropriate person as in the Pathologist, Lab Director, etc.  If the person is unable to take the call, an accurate message must be taken and given to the specific individual in a timely fashion.
Responsible for recording results and data, cleaning and inventorying equipment, communicating lab and patient information while maintaining a level of confidentiality.
Responsible for accessioning of specimens.
Assist in mixing of buffers necessary for purposes of processing patient specimens in the lab.
Responsible for intake of patient specimens for lab processing.
Coordinate ordering of supplies.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Good Telephone, computer, and typing skills.
Experience as medical receptionist preferred, but will train
Ability to sit, stand, and communicate effectively.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
