The 2026 American Urological Association Annual Meeting was held this past weekend in Washington, D.C. The meeting brought together urologists, researchers, and healthcare professionals from around the world to discuss new research, emerging treatments, and the future of patient care in urology.
Dr. Neal Shore was a prominent contributor at this year’s meeting. He participated in several presentations and discussions focused on advancing treatment options and improving outcomes for patients with urologic conditions.
One of Dr. Shore’s presentations highlighted ongoing research involving durvalumab plus BCG for patients with high-risk non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC). Early study results continue to show promise in helping reduce the risk of cancer recurrence. Research like this may help expand treatment options for patients facing difficult bladder cancer diagnoses.
Dr. Shore also participated in discussions focused on the future of clinical trials in urology. These conversations explored how physicians and researchers can continue improving access to innovative treatments while advancing the quality of patient care. He also shared guidance for physicians interested in helping shape the future of urology through clinical research.
We are proud to see Dr. Shore continuing to contribute to important conversations and research that are helping move urology care forward.
