Dr. Neal Shore is a recognized leader in urology research and clinical trials, having served as an investigator on more than 400 studies. His ongoing research has led to a season filled with scientific presentations, publications, and discussions about the future of urologic cancer care.

Dr. Shore was recently featured on AUA TV in association with the recent American Urological Association Annual Meeting, where he shared “How Clinical Trials Really Work.”
American Society of Clinical Oncology Annual Meeting 2026
The ASCO Annual Meeting just wrapped up, and Dr. Shore contributed to several major research presentations and discussions throughout the event.
Dr. Shore presented on the Phase 3 POTOMAC data. This research led to a newly FDA-approved treatment for non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer, called Imfinzi.
He also delivered a multidisciplinary “Practice to Plenary” presentation, sharing insights on how new research can translate into patient care.
Dr. Shore also received recognition for his research with Novartis, earning a Best Poster award. He also presented 9 scientific posters at the ASCO meeting.
Two Scientific Papers Published
Dr. Shore also had two new scientific papers published in the New England Journal of Medicine.
Both are about research related to Prostate Cancer.
The first, called PARP and Androgen-Signaling Inhibition plus ADT in Metastatic Prostate Cancer, examines ways to improve outcomes by advancing treatment beyond traditional hormone therapy alone.
The second is Perioperative Apalutamide in High-Risk Localized Prostate Cancer. Dr. Shore contributed to the Phase 3 PROTEUS study evaluating a new treatment approach for patients with high-risk localized prostate cancer. The study showed that adding apalutamide to hormone therapy before and after surgery improved cancer outcomes and helped reduce the risk of the cancer spreading.
These are exciting developments for the future of prostate cancer treatment and represent years of dedication from Dr. Shore and his team.
